Optix is an on-chain options trading protocol with a free-to-play, trade-to-earn GameFi layer, run on the OPTIX token.

What we did

Wireframes that map the protocol, an options trading dashboard where strategies are picked by market sentiment, liquidity vaults inside the dApp, a GameFi landing page, comic-style characters and 3D token renders.

Mapping an on-chain options protocol in wireframes

Optix is an on-chain option trading protocol with a free-to-play, trade-to-earn game on top, and rewards for both are paid in the OPTIX token. Options are a niche product even in crypto, so before any styling we settled the order of the argument.

The wireframes lay out the landing page in flat navy blocks: a hero with floating cards for the trading protocol and the game, market-size cards, an accordion for the three core products (Option Vaults, Bonds, Trade to Earn), a tokenomics donut, cards for staking, boosting and voting, a development timeline and a newsletter footer. The navigation follows the same sequence, from About and Problems through Revenue Model to Roadmap.

Optix

Options trading dashboard with sentiment-led strategies

Optix wanted buying an option to feel closer to swapping a token, so the dashboard starts with a market view instead of a strike chain. The New tab offers four round sentiment toggles, from a rising arrow to a wave, then strategy cards such as Call, Strap and Bull Call Spread, each with a small payoff sketch and one plain line like 'High profits if the price rises sharply'.

Experienced traders still get the full Legs table with expiry, strike, mark, bid and ask, plus Market or Limit orders and a panel that limits each vault to approved counterparties. Buy is green and Sell is orange against grey and violet. New, Quotes and Trades each have a mobile version in which table rows become stacked label-and-value cards.

Comic-style characters and 3D token renders

The game side of Optix needed faces. We drew a cast in heavy outlines and cel shading with a crime-caper attitude: a man in a cap fanning dollar bills with a cigar between his fingers, a woman in a GOD cap with gold chains and a fur collar, and a man in a shoulder holster leaning over a briefcase of cash. Palm-lined streets at dusk and neon signs set the scene around them.

The token mechanics got a cleaner 3D language, lit in violet and blue on dark backgrounds: a stack of floating discs for staking, a white and blue rocket for boosting, a frosted glass ballot box for voting, and a black cube with a glowing violet middle row for the protocol itself.

GameFi landing page on desktop and mobile

The landing page opens on 'Option Protocol with GameFi Yield Farming' and gives each audience its own button: a yellow Start Trading and a violet Play Now, the two colours of the Optix mark, a violet arc beside yellow bars. Behind the headline sits the trading terminal with two characters stepping out in front of it, so product and game share one frame.

Further down, oversized outline lettering (Vote, Escrow, OPTIX) runs behind the staking, boosting and voting cards, the tokenomics donut carries the logo in its centre, and the roadmap splits into GameFi and Option Protocol tabs. The mobile menu turns into a full-screen list of the seven sections with a language switcher.

Liquidity vaults and trading screens inside the dApp

The rest of the dApp handles trading and pool liquidity. The Trade view pairs a Bitcoin candlestick chart with an order panel for option size and strike price. Liquidity switches between Add in green and Withdraw in orange, and the rules sit in tinted notes beside the form: a 14-day lock, fees earned when the pool backs traded options, and premiums released at expiry.

Vaults live in a filterable table. Each one opens into Strategy Details, Reports and My Liquidity, with colour-coded risk tags and a chart of tokens under management, while a network picker lists mainnets and testnets.

Questions about this project

What is Optix?

Optix is an on-chain option trading protocol with a free-to-play, trade-to-earn game on top. Rewards for both are paid in the OPTIX token.

What did thelegacy design for Optix?

Wireframes that map the protocol, an options trading dashboard with mobile versions, liquidity vaults and trade screens inside the dApp, a GameFi landing page for desktop and mobile, comic-style characters and 3D token renders.

How does the Optix dashboard make buying an option simpler?

It starts with a market view instead of a strike chain: four sentiment toggles, then strategy cards such as Call, Strap and Bull Call Spread, each with a small payoff sketch and one plain line about when it pays. Experienced traders still get the full Legs table with expiry, strike, mark, bid and ask.
