tothemoon
To The Moon is a skill-based financial competition game: players race portfolios of cryptocurrency coins against each other, and the prize comes from their bets.
The landing page and the game platform in 2019, with front-end and back-end: the visual system, the race lobby, a fleet of eight ships and the player account.
Crypto gaming platform where portfolios race to the Moon
To The Moon is a skill-based financial competition game. Players compete by composing portfolios of cryptocurrency coins and setting the time frame of the race; the portfolio that finishes first, and those closest to it, share a prize made up of the players' initial bets. Games run on smart contracts on Ethereum, EOS and Tron, and every game item is unique.
We designed the landing page and the game platform in 2019 and built their front-end and back-end. The layout sits on a golden-ratio grid, headlines and text are set in Proxima Nova and Roboto, and the palette is the sky at dusk: a gradient from #276e76 to #265d83, a near-black #27282a background, #3496f0 for active states and white type, with photographs of the Moon, rockets and an astronaut carrying the theme.
Landing page: tournaments, referrals and a countdown on every screen
The landing page keeps a vertical menu on the left, from My account and About to Tournament, Demo, Ships, Planets, News, FAQ and Community, and a live ticker of ETH, TRX and EOS prices along the top. Every screen ends on the same strip: a countdown to the next tournament, the guaranteed prize pool and an Enter tournament button, so the call to action is never more than a glance away.
The sections explain how to play and how the game works, present the tournament with a list of tickets already bought, lay out a three-level referral programme, and introduce the dividends ship and The Mars before a news feed and a contacts screen with the project's channels.
Game platform: race map, ship choice and the coin portfolio
Inside the platform a race is drawn as a map of space, with planets, comets and ships heading for the Moon and a Find new race button under the player's stats. The lobby puts the game's two decisions side by side: choosing a ship, each with its own capacity, pump level and price, and filling it by setting what share of the ship each coin takes.
The frame around the game stays fixed: chat and the leaderboard on the left, the payout table and useful articles on the right, coin prices and the open races on top. We also designed the fleet of eight ships and the inner pages around the lobby, including the race result screen.
Player account: profile, security and referral income
The account keeps the lobby frame and switches its centre between My info, Security, Referals and History. My info shows the player's level, daily progress, races and win rate, the wallet address and balance in TRX, next to the chosen ship and its colour options.
Security holds the sign-in password, Google Authentication for withdrawals and security changes, and a list of active devices with an option to end every session. The referral page gives a QR code and a link to copy, the totals earned and the referral model by level. Each ship has a card with its characteristics and price, and a Nearest to the Moon board ranks the players closest to the finish.
