BANKEX is an organisation that unites members of the financial markets around its Proof-of-Asset Protocol: a client asset is tokenized and turned into money for the bank without waiting for a portfolio to build up. The BANKEX Crypto Wallet brings that to everyday payments. Customers pay a business directly in messengers and social networks by pushing one button that moves money between their wallet and the company's, a way of buying the client calls social commerce.

We did the wireframing, UX/UI design and front-end of the wallet in 2019. The interface is set in SF Pro Display and built on four colours: a pale #cdedff for surfaces, a bright #0ca7fb blue for actions and headers, a deep #043d56 for contrast, and a #feb813 yellow that warms up the illustrations.

The wallet opens on a choice between continuing with Telegram and creating a new wallet. Signing in through Telegram takes a nickname and the code the app sends there, and a six-digit PIN code then locks the app, with its own message for a wrong entry.

A new wallet goes through a security phase built around the seed phrase: the app shows the recovery words, asks for them back and marks a mistake in red, then moves through Loading wallet to a Successful screen. Each step carries the same line-drawn character, so a technical task reads as a friendly one.

Home leads with the total funds in dollars over a wave in the brand blue, then one card per coin wallet, Ethereum, Bitcoin and Litecoin, with its price, change and balance, and an Add wallet link. A tab bar keeps wallets, contacts, the QR scanner, exchange and settings one tap away. Token management opens a coin's balance with send and receive buttons and its transaction history, and lets the user choose which coins the wallet shows.

Receiving is a QR code with the address, an amount field and a copy button. Sending goes either to a pasted address or to someone from the contact list, through a confirmation that shows the amount and both wallets. Coins are exchanged inside the wallet, with progress and failure screens, and a contact profile keeps a person's details and wallet address in one place.

The full set lays the app out flow by flow, from splash and PIN set-up to the wallet, QR codes, transfers and contacts, on one board.

The illustrations share one line-drawn character in blue and yellow: holding a giant check mark, walling a padlock in with bricks, waving checkered flags, passing a coin from phone to phone. They carry the success, security and transfer moments that a wallet otherwise shows as plain text.
