Selected work
What the work includes
-
Store structure
Home page, catalog, product page, cart and checkout laid out in grey wireframes before any colour goes in. Sugar Teddy and Hi-Tech Club started this way, and UkrCapital Trade worked out seven page types.
-
Catalog and product cards
A catalog that holds the whole range: UkrCapital Trade fits a product family on one card with variant tabs, every Levens board gets the same card with its laying pattern, MARK.MODA filters by category and brand.
-
Product pages
The page that sells: photos, specs, options and the buy button. Hi-Tech Club reads like a spec sheet with four metal finishes to pick from, Levens sets out wood species, grade and thickness beside the gallery.
-
Cart and checkout
A cart that slides in over the page and a checkout on one screen. In Sugar Teddy it takes delivery to a branch, a parcel locker or an address, and payment by card, phone wallet or cash on delivery.
-
Mobile storefront
Every store page at phone width: a full-screen cart in Hi-Tech Club, a full-screen menu in Sugar Teddy, and an app of more than thirty screens for MARK.MODA.
-
Development
We can take the store from design to launch, so the catalog, cart and checkout work as they were drawn. More on web design and development.
How an online store project runs
-
Structure
(catalog to checkout)
Every page type in grey wireframes, from the home page and catalog to the cart and checkout, until the route to an order is agreed.
-
Design
(desktop, mobile, UI kit)
The store in the brand's own look, every page at both widths, with the states of the cart and the forms of the checkout.
-
Build or hand-off
(code or files)
Design files and the UI kit for your developers, or the build itself when we develop the store.
Who we design online stores for
-
Food and consumer brands
A brand of sugar-free bars that sells straight to the buyer, in its own voice down to the 404 page: Sugar Teddy.
-
Makers
Hookahs in medical steel and titanium (Hi-Tech Club) and designer oak and ash parquet (Levens): products a buyer studies before ordering.
-
B2B suppliers
A catalog of milk powders, butter and whey with spec sheets and packing details for business buyers: UkrCapital Trade.
-
Fashion
A platform where looks are put together from current collections and the pieces bought from online stores: MARK.MODA.
E-commerce Website Design: questions and answers
What does e-commerce website design include at thelegacy?
The store structure in grey wireframes, the catalog and product cards, product pages, the cart and checkout, and every page at phone width. In Sugar Teddy that runs from the home page to a one-page checkout with delivery and payment options; in Hi-Tech Club from a product page that reads like a spec sheet to a slide-in cart and the order confirmation.
Which case studies show online stores?
Sugar Teddy, a store for a brand of sugar-free bars; Hi-Tech Club, a hookah maker's online store with 3D product renders; Levens, a designer parquet catalog with product pages; UkrCapital Trade, a B2B catalog of dairy ingredients; and MARK.MODA, a fashion platform where looks are put together from current collections.
Do you design the checkout and delivery options?
Yes. The Sugar Teddy checkout fits on one page: personal details, Nova Poshta delivery to a branch, a parcel locker or an address, payment by Apple Pay or Google Pay, LiqPay or cash on delivery, a comment and a promo code.
How do I start a project with thelegacy?
Fill in the request form at the bottom of any page: your name, what you need (a new website, a redesign, branding, a mobile or desktop app) and how to reach you. You can also email viktor@thelegacy.agency, write to us on Telegram or book a call with the Schedule a Meeting button.
Do you also build the store?
Yes, we can take a store from design to launch. The cases on this page show the design: the pages, the cart and checkout, and their phone layouts.
Do you design B2B catalogs as well as retail stores?
Yes. UkrCapital Trade is a B2B catalog of dairy ingredients with spec sheets and a mega menu, and Levens a parquet catalog where every board has its own specs. Sugar Teddy and Hi-Tech Club sell straight to the buyer, with a cart and checkout.
Online store design at thelegacy covers the whole route to an order: the structure in grey wireframes, the catalog, product pages, cart and checkout, and the phone layouts, plus development when we build the store. Case studies: Sugar Teddy (a store for sugar-free bars, from wireframes to checkout), Hi-Tech Club (a hookah maker's store with a slide-in cart and 3D renders), Levens (a parquet catalog where every board has its specs), UkrCapital Trade (a B2B catalog of dairy ingredients) and MARK.MODA (a fashion platform with a look constructor).
